I played the game and got a -3500 before I finally found them all. Ended up clicking every pixel on the screen in order to get the hits.
Can anyone match my poor performance? Or better yet, did anyone get the possible 1400 score first time out?
If you haven’t tried yet – you’ll find it here:

It wasn’t clear in the instructions that you have to look for building code and OSHA items. And many of them are questionable to begin with – like the short missing piece of wall plate, gable wall header, cheek wall stud.

Um Ok, i think the inspector game is sorely lacking in just about everything. The headers are an easy find and the 1 missing stud?, the blocking? well they are still working right? maybe they left it out for the time being or just simply haven't put it in yet.
Could be fun game if pics were taken after all work was completed and had multiple views.
Also there are no guards across window openings.
Good game. Pretty detailed.
Don't anybody wimp out and click all over the place to find the errors as they are there within sight but a bit rough to discover.
Wish I'd spent more time looking before I caked out. snorK*
I checked it quickly, got a few right away and then did what you did with the multy clicking. I have an excuse though. I'm Ontario building code so when I convert from Canadian dollars I scored high.
You are gracing another magazine cover! I showed it my wife while I was making her watch the stanley cup last night. We decided you and Bill Guerin of the Pittsburgh Penguins must be related, beard etc.
I liked you sky lite article but in the classses I teach at the local college, we still discuss that there are two kinds of sky lites. those that leak and those that will eventuually leak!
Have a good day

I'm not related to anyone. Whole family's deserted me.Yeah, roofs are like skylights - those that leak and those that are no doubt going to leak before the homeowner decides to replace it....
Is the lack of blocking at the horizontal OSB joint a code violation?
I have understood that, according to IRC2006 Table R603.3(3), the joints do not need to be blocked.
Did I miss something?

Blocking?
Only if it is a shear wall. wich is another issue i have with this game.
Could be fun, but needs some definite tweeking
You are right. That's one of my beef's with the game. Code issues in one place (high wind and seismic) don't apply other places. I'm going to bug the inspector's inventors about their lack of detailed code knowledge.
You guys are funny. What did you expect? It is so transparently annoying, it doesn't seem fair to criticize it. The only vaguely endearing thing about it is that it is a Pong-like throwback in the age of PlayStation and X Box.
Got five on purpose for a quick 1000, and one by accident for an unintentional 1200. Then went backwards real quick.
Couldn't find the last one, which was the missing piece of floor plate, until I started going click-crazy.
I got them all quickly the last one with OHSA and the ladder with three legs... I can see four legs...Am I missing something?
The fourth leg is missing the bottom 6" of leg below the bottom rung until you click on it.
