Ripped out a one piece shower/tub combo unit. Going new with shower pan and tile surround. Back wall and (R) side with shower body, are conventional framing. Left side wall is a 120yr old brick fire wall. Any suggestions as to the best way to pad out and adhere Durock for tile. OR some unconventional way to use the brick in the actual surround. Project is on the 5th floor of a private home. Brownstone in NYC. Thank’s.
