Not exactly construction, more like interior finishing.
Wife got an idea to do a wall faux treatment by skimming venetian plaster over lace then pulling the lace off the wall to leave the pattern relief. Picked up a gallon of venetian plaster, and had it tinted. The paint store used a lot of pigment to get it right, and now the plaster is pretty soupy. I was expecting it to be the consistency of drywall mud, but its more like really thick paint, runs right off the trowel. According to the manufacturer, the paint store put in too much pigment and it’s ruined.
I’m more of the opinion that it just needs some thickening up. Possibly mix in a little powdered drywall mud, or some powdered non-sanded grout, or ??? something else?
