Thincoat plaster over painted drywall
Looking for advise on whether it would be practical to thincoat plaster over painted drywall in a few rooms. It would greatly simplify the trim installation since drywall ain’t very flat and trim is stiff (5-1/4″ wide oak casing, 7-1/4″ base). I would want plaster buildup of about 1/8″ min.
My main concern is adhesion to the (latex) painted drywall. Sure doesn’t have the “tooth” of blueboard! But perhaps one can apply a primer or surface prep of some sort?
Thanx!

Thanks for your quick response. So one can apply this directly over the paint?
As long as it's well adhered. It is a latex product also..

try "plasterweld" we use it for adhesion on compounded surfaces and rough painted surfaces
