We had the Milwaukee for about 20 years. It wouldn't die. When it sounded llike it was about done I took it to a repair shop and they said just keep using it til it stops. I gave it to my helper and three years later, he's still using it (Not too much, tho. He uses mine when he can.)
I was persuaded to go with the Porter Cable. Don't know the model. It's been a good one. No complaints. Even the blade holder/changer still works without a fight. I would buy another if they're still the same. (Had mine about 3 years.)

There's only one Tiger saw - a Porter Cable model that folds and twists to get into awkward spaces, but it is one of the worst for vibration.
If you're asking for the best reciprocating saw, I think the Milwaukee 15 amp version with 360° rotating handle is tops. Powerful and smooth, with much less vibration than anything else. The rotating handle helps to give the user a comfortable grip even when cutting sideways or upside down.
There are several different models of "Tiger Saw" by Porter Cable. I have the standard model with no twisting or turning options. Some models offer just a handle that can rotate (roll), but on the same axis as the business end... other models offer both twisting of the handle and articulation nose, like a ball joint.
Oops, i blew it.Next thing you'll tell me that there are tigers at places other than Princeton, NJ.

LOL!
I got that reference.
Bruce, you rascal. TB is back from the slickrock country. My Tiger folds into a neat little bundle that can cut off rusted stubouts under sinks. I like that a lot.The ToolBear

Howdy, TB, and welcome back.I've no doubt that your Tiger will fit under any sink, but I'm not so sure that you will.

I have the standard model, paid a 100 bucks for it at Lowes on closeout, hate it. Buy a Super Sawzall, fortunately someone gave me one they never used.
Super Sawzall. I've got a Tiger saw too and wish I could give it back. It's a toy tool.
While the Makita did really well in the reviews and took top honors in the last tols of the trade shootout, I picked one up at Home Depot and found its balance/feel just wasn't right for me. Interesting thing about PC recip saws is that Metabo has a saw that looks alot like the PC. Makes me wonder who made what for who!
I would throw my vote in for Milwaukee here. I have the older 11 amp super sawall and can proudly say it is still alive and kicking.
I've got the makita anti shock anti vibe and find it very smooth compared to ones without it, I was surprised at how fast it cut as well with the blades orbital action.
I've heard that the Milwaukee with anti vibe is very good as well.
Hitachi released one as well recently with all the bells and whistles and I've tried it but it wasn't as sweet as the Makita.
