Hello all. I recently saw on a DIY show where a guy took a wood frame to replace the screen . He “bowed” the frame by securing the center and lifted the outer portions creating a bow in the middle. ran his screen and stapled it top and bottom. After that he released the bow and the frame sprang back tighting the screen, then finished up the stapling. Has anyone tries this method? Does it work? Thanks

It works quite well on the TV shows, where they've carefully selected the frame for shape and flexibility.
(It's worth trying, but no guarantees.)
