Huge problem/predicament/issue/etc. (whichever you prefer).
10×10 tile, with durock behind it, how does one deal with the end, when the tile is a fixed edge and has no end cap. Grouting it is ridiculous, and caulking doesn’t look professional.
let me know what you think can eliminate this issue once and for all.
thanks so much

well .. the best would be to order the matching 10 x 2 cap tile.
how far along are we ... planning .. halfway done ... or it's all stuck there and set hard and fast?
and ... if the last case is it .... what's showing?
the backer too .. or just the tile?
if planning ... and U can't get a suitable trim tile ... use a plastic termination strip .... it has a web to accept the thinset and ya pick from numerous colors and profiles.
it it's all alreay there ... either more tile ... ie ... the trim tile.
or ... figure a way to stick the plastic trim on ...
or ... get some white Aztec ... pvc trim stock ... rout it with a round over ... cut it down to size ... and glue/pin nail it up?

your local tile supply house should have aluminum edging that is anodized, many colors avaiable. It nails onto the durorock, apply your thinset and tile. Looks great and leaves a nice finished edge to your tile job.
Lowes carries some of that aluminum trim. I think it's in the carpet area, but there's no reason it couldn't be used for tile.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
Google Shluter....the Big Box stores carry it....I think it looks cheap on a wall, but people do it...
Ditto on the Schluter.

Look here, they carry Schluter products.
They have SS, as well as anodized metal edges.
Top shelf stuff, I doubt the boxes will carry it, though it may be a regional thing.

HD carries Shluter, though they don't always know what it is or where to stock it....last one I was in hid it back with the suspended ceiling stock......
Post a picture of the problem.
Is the tile on a wall or the floor? What is it butting up against or does it transition into a hardwood floor? What is the difference in height of the tile and the other surface?
depending on exactly where the finsih your looking for is? tub surround? or ? there is usually one side of the four sides of the tile that has glaze over run. If you use it for the exposed end and tape it nice and grout to the tape it makes a nice finished edge. In this case were talking like half the tile and thinset= 3/8" so a finished edge with grout like 3/16, to a 1/4". But were not talking tile thinset and backer board.I could post a couple of pictures if you like. Just reply cause I'll have to dig them out and scan them.
