Is it better to tile behind wall mount micro wave or to tile up to it once it is installed?

I will usually put a couple tile cuts up behind where the metal mounts to fur it out. Avoiding the toggle bolt and anchoring holes that's I've marked out. I'll run the tile to just up behind the metal-again missing the mounting holes. Save enough tile to patch in later if newer micro is smaller in profile.

Mount the bracket, then do the tile. Then install the microwave. Save some tile and grout in case you ever want to change to a regular hood.
