or more for a Really good one….
I am not impressed with the ones that are “a grinder on a stand”
12″tile on a diagonal is a good capacity/ Size

If I were buying a new tile saw these days, I would check out the Dewalt -- notable because they gave a lot of thought to how you can keep water from spraying all over the place.
IIRC, costs about a grand with the stand:

T....I've got a 10" Felker. (Don't go there)
I don't do a ton of tiling, but have used it on plenty of projects, on all sorts of tiles.
I couldn't tell you if the MK offers anything the Felker doesn't, but I have been quite pleased with mine.
Cost me in the $800 range (with stand) some six or seven years ago.

I recently bought the Dewalt saw , I have used it on three jobs and don't have any major complaints. The main reason for getting it was the 18" diagonal cut capacity, seems like everybody likes the big tile.
Here's a list of my personal likes and dislikes,
Pros: large diagonal cuts without flipping the tile, light weight, easy set up, the drip pans keep the mess to a minimum, built in GFCI in power cord, 22-1/2 and 45 degree bevel cuts are easy to set.
Cons: the squeeze clamp to adjust water flow is junk, I plumbed a small valve in for better adjustment, the edge guide leaves a lot to be desired, I use a 12" plastic speed square instead ,don't have to worry about the blade hitting metal, motor is louder than the one on the Felker, the supplied blade is average I replaced it with a Hot Dog after the first job, cleaner cuts.
Overall I really like the saw, if you have helpers that like to slam and bang tools around you may want to go with something that is a little more heavy duty, but for a solo operation it's a great saw.
the dewalt tile saw is tits n' beer...
the dewalt tile saw is tits n' beer...
does that mean it takes the beer to make it look good???

John Bridge "Tile your World" online store has an 8" Felker for $189. Has a 3/4 horse motor and can cut 10" diagonal and 14" straight (I think). I think you even get a blade with it.
I just bought a used MK Diamond MK-660, same specs, for $350 used, and found out about the Felker the following day.
I've got that same MK660 - picked up one of the rental units from HD - they had just put a new motor in it. Guy kept throwing in free stuff - stand, all the guides, GFCI, extra blade, 50' 10 ga. cord -- got to so I bought it quick and hurried out of there lest someone that knew what they were doing came in and said - hell no to all the free stuff.Quiet as can be, though I wish it would cut 12" tiles diagonals. It's also be handy to have a spring loaded plunge action on it - might try to rig something up myself for that.Have three tile jobs this week, so it's coming in handy. The Felker deal is actually $158 or so after a $100 rebate - and that saw is one that most over there (tile forum) say is a great value at $300.00.JT

Thanx..Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? I woke up in a Soho doorway A policeman knew my name He said "You can go sleep at home tonight If you can get up and walk away" I staggered back to the underground And the breeze blew back my hair I remember throwin' punches around And preachin' from my chair chorus: Well, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) I really wanna know (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Tell me, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) 'Cause I really wanna know (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) I took the tube back out of town Back to the Rollin' Pin I felt a little like a dying clown With a streak of Rin Tin Tin I stretched back and I hiccupped And looked back on my busy day Eleven hours in the Tin Pan God, there's got to be another way Who are you? Ooh wa ooh wa ooh wa ooh wa ... Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? (chorus) I know there's a place you walked Where love falls from the trees My heart is like a broken cup I only feel right on my knees I spit out like a sewer hole Yet still recieve your kiss How can I measure up to anyone now After such a love as this? (chorus)
I've already weighed in with my opinions.....but in doing a bit of research, I came across the following.
Looks interesting.....and a rolling stand to boot!

Did you turn on the MK and Felker and listen to the motors? If so, you might change your mind, although both mfgrs make high-end and low-end models.

I have the Felker FTS-150 and it's a good saw with plenty of power.

A lot of people like the Dewalt and I would give it a serious look unless you're doing daily production tile work. It has some clever features, and you can use it inside with very little overspray.
