please provide any input if you will , i want to rip out my tub ( 5′) and replace with lead pan and mud base. i plan to replace with tile floor to ceiling , and a number of different shower heads , along with seating for the girls to sit. if you guys could please give me a heads up on any problems, plumbing,lighting,doors etc. thanks

There was a good FHB article on it last year. I also assume you mean copper not lead. One thing that was helpful when I did a tile shower last year was a recessed soap/shampoo dish call 'recess it'. I think it was about $40 but all sealed up and ready for tile. That company also makes a bench if your doing that as well. The FHB issue was only a year ago, so a library might have it for you to take out or you could buy the back issue.

I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
one word of advice is you do not want to use a lead pan, lead pans will break down from the acid in the concrete and have a life span of about 25 years.
You can either use a PVC liner and do the mudbase or there a couple of different newer systems.
