Any last moment tips for tiling over tile?
Existing tile is solid and well attached with no cracks anywhere. Tile has a slight texture to it and is 6×6. New tile is 12×12 to be laid at 45 degrees to the old.

There are a number of ways to achieve a level foundation and mudsill.

I did it and it worked great. I roughed up the surface with a disc sander and added a little concrete glue to the thinset as well as moistening the floor before tiling. Good luck!
i just did the tile over tile two weeks ago. The existing tile was in great sahpe i used thinset with water and cleaned the existing tile well. it has been grounted and looks good. The new tile is adhered well. It was no different than any other tile install.
I always make sure to use full-flex mortar on tile overs.
