Had a ‘few’ loads of free fill dirt delivered yesterday, some more today.
The drivers did a great job of placement just where I’d left instructions, plus we had an unusual August all day rain Sunday which meant negotiating some mud.
Is any kind of appreciation appropriate, say a $25 HD gift card?
Note: since the billion yard fill for the SeaTac 3rd runway is complete, the graders now usually have to pay to dump fill dirt.

Tips are always appropriate for extra effort and much appreciated.
Next time you need those drivers they will remember the courtesy.
As Catskinner noted, drivers remember. I've found a $20 bill will pleasantly surprise.
I went through about 6 mos when I brokered dirt for those with excess/deficit. Where to dump can be a problem. Nice to find a needy home. Generally got the recipient to share transport cost.

Crisp green are better than gift cards, give him a twenty or two.

I usually tell them "let me buy you lunch" and hand the driver a $20.
