Strange question, but I ended up with a LH door when I needed a RH door, and Pella wanted to know nothing about it. The door is still wrapped from the factory. Any ideas on getting some of the $800 back?

Fallingwater,
Are you saying that Pella stiffed you with the door or just let you keep it as their screw up? Because after my experiences with Pella, either one would fit.

*If it's not too strange, the distributor here will restock it for about 35 bucks. If you have a relationship with them as a builder I wouldn't think there would be much of a problem. Even as a homeowner, you would think a moderate restock charge on an item they'll move would be offered. Sure you asked the right guy? Best of luck.
*Don't settle for no. Find someone that has the authority to say yes.
*If you've got the paper showing that you ordered right, it's their problem! My door and window people screw up about ten percent of the time, no matter who I use so I make sure to double check the opennings order before placing it and then keep the documentation. They give me no argument about returns that way.
*If you're truely stuck with it, try the penny saver type papers
*Isnt there something you could do with mirrors??
