Have admired your work for a long time — am thinking about a new door in a room addition between the kitchen and garage — addition will have white maple cabinets and maybe an accent cabinet in another color — room size is 10×20
I need a 2’8″X6’8″ door to go in the middle of the wall to the garage — wall is 20 feet with the door in the middle – floor is 5″ Brazilian Cherry — I would like the door to be rich and a focal point as you enter the room – you have any pictures of a copper covered door that you could make up for us — could have lites at the top (one large or 2 divided) or none at all. As the doorway is to the unheated garage, any thickness that enhances R-value would be appreciated. Want both sides covered.
Going to be in Lexington October 8 for a wedding — see from your profile you are in Lexington. Any thoughts? We were there earlier this month and found the treasures that are in the Longwood Antique Woods at 330 Midland Place next to the peanut butter factory — what a find for antique flooring

Be glad to give it a shot. What I would need is a door to wrap. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any major problems. I've never done a regular door before. I have, however, done some garage doors with lites. I need to go take some pics of them.
Yeah, Longwood's a cool place. George, the guy that owns it, is a great guy from what I've seen. They were getting a lot of their stuff from bourbon distilleries that were being torn down.
Hey Mister Sushi, you forgot to cook my fish.

greencu -- I could get you a door but am coming from Maryland to Lexington in October so you would not be able to get it made up before I left 3-4 days later -- would arrive evening of October 6 (Thursday) and probably leave Morning of October 10th or 11th (Monday or Tuesday) I would want a 1"3/4 door possibly 1"5/8'sIf I were doing it myself -- I'd cut a saw cerf all around the door edge, do whatever is a knock your socks off door on the front (back of door not have to be as ornate or elaborate as it will face the cars in the garage) and then break the cu to fold into the saw cerf. What I would like is some kind of a sketch that you envisioned interior side would look like -- I really want a knock your socks off door that causes people to stop and ask -- where did you get that door -- it is so pretty.Think about it and post here or send e-mail to [email protected] --- all the best -- Dudley
