Do kitchen cabinets not have molding to cover the toe kick space anymore? I need new molding for our kitchen, and I can’t find anything on the manufacturer’s site (American Woodmark). These are pretty cheap cabinets, and the old moldings (we pulled them out to remove the old flooring) were some type of 1X trim.
There is a penisula where the top edge is visable, and an oven cabinet that will probably end up on a slightly taller base to accomodate a toekick register.
So what are good options? These are oak cabinets in a medium dark stain.

New American Woodmark cabinet orders come with toekick to match the cabinets that is 1/8" thick strips of veneered, pre-finished, plywood or hardboard (masonite-like). The strips are about 4-1/2" wide (for a 4-1/2" tall toekick). Some orders have baseshoe or 1/4-rnd. also matched to the cabinets.
The product codes for AW toekicks are:
BTK8 PRT or
BTK8 WD
If you want qtr.rnd. it is:
QR8
They have a list price of $38 and come in 8' lengths...solid oak is actually far cheaper.
Where the top edge is visible, you may opt for solid oak 1x stained and finished to match your cabs.
If you have any other questions, I have their current Designer Spec. Guide.

Thanks! Maybe if I put in the actual part numbers I can get it to come up on their web site.
Bryan ,
If the room has base mold , you can use the same around the cabinets as well . If not then usually we use a base shoe mold similar to what gets used on hardwood floors . They can be about 1 1/4" X 3/8" with a bullnose on the top edge or what ever you want to use .
good luck dusty
There is only about 4' of base molding total in the kitchen. Just about every linear foot is taken up by doorways or cabinets, except for two very short sections and one about 3' long. But I'm using tile for the baseboard in a back area, and I had enough base molding run for that so I might use some of it on the visible area. Too tall (and expensive) for the hidden areas.
