Anyone here have a toilet brand preference, or maybe some to avoid? I just had an old ‘contractor’ model, original to the house fail, and I’m looking to replace it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I prefer......
The American Standard Champion Four. Available elongated, with comfort height, and a 1.28 gallon flush. The home centers have them in white, complete with a plastic, self closing seat, for about $ 200.00.
Yea, those are the exact two I was looking at. I'm leaning to towards the Champ4 as I like the designs of the Champ 4's in what's avaliable locally.
Thanks again.
Do note that the seat provided with them (or at least with the Cadet 3) is pretty chintzy, and you'll probably want something better. But you can wait and see for that.
I assume that the two units are similar in function, and since the Cadet 3 works very well, I'd excpect the Champion 4 to do the same.
But note that each comes is 2-3 different heights, and possibly both round and oval. So be sure what you're getting.
American Standard Champion Four
I installed one of these this last weekend after reading numerous positive comments for the last year.
Holy Cow!
This is not a flush toilet, but an opening to another dimension that inhales anything in the bowl with the force of a Star Wars monster at feeding time. Very impressive indeed. I have never seen any toilet flush this fast with such power.
Yes, the seat provided is a POS, I went back to Blowes the next day for an upgrade.
It is also much quieter than the porcelan throne it replaced.
All this on a 1.3 gallon flush.
Absolutely love the flushability of this thing.
