Complaint about Makita’s deal on lithium ion tools. buy impact driver, get drill-driver body. Could’nt find impact driver until today- had to be purchased by March 29. Today is April 7. Do I feel as though these people drag me around by the nose; yes. Am I suprised, no.Am I enjoying the new impact driver, absolutely!

One I read about was buy an impact ... get the drill/hammer.
and there was a shelf fulla both.
but I want the drill/driver .... bet I can find it on line more than once.

I just bought the four piece set. Totaly bad azz. The HD I picked my set up had the buy one get one. They had plenty that was a few weeks back though.

I got the drill, impact and flashlight 2 batts and a charger from http://www.toolking.com factory recond. for 158.00. Already had one drill and 2 batts/charger.
I drill a zillion 1/8th holes when we hang downspouts..we rivet the crap outta them so the crackheads can't rippem off for scrap...that 14.4 V impact is what I use with a #10 drill counter sink combo..need the hex shank for the chuckability.
What I am getting at, is the impact also can then drive the tapcons for the hanger straps, and I need one less drill on the ladder. The 18V Dewalt is dedicated to the mas. bit for the stone and brick walls.
What shocked the hell out of me, is this Makita just keeps on going and going...I have yet to recharge a battery in 2 weeks of constant rivet drilling! My 12V Hitachi is out to pasture, and the 18V DeWalts are getting a much needed rest.
Like you, last count of drills and drivers...I got 18. As bad as Norm with routers, I hate changing bits..LOL

I think that I've finaly found something I can settle in with as far as the set goes. I've got to do a drill line up one of these days and count.
Weather wise: All we got was a little siren action and about an hour of thunder and lightning. I heard at breakfast this morning that a tornado touched down in Louisville somewhere. I've been to wrapped up in truck shopping to worry about the world around me LOL.

Figure what you spend on repairs to that old bucket and lost wages while it was down and then the independence of reliable vehicle and it's ano brainer.
I said truck but I've just spent the last few minutes looking at jeep commanders. Those are pretty nice for the price.

Yea I got a Cherokee and love it. I've also got my old truck for knocking around in.

deal is still available.... look on their site... got my impact driver for $244 on amazon. like the feel of the lxt compared to the 14.4 but the lxt has a plastic shell as opposed to metal.... kinda cheesy...light weight though.
