I used to receive their catalog in the mail, but since Amazon came into the picture, I no longer get the old catalog-just some crappy amazon tool catalog every now and then. Does anyone know if TC or anyone else still puts out a similar catalog? Thanks.

Amazon quit publishing the Tool Crib catalogs in June or July (maybe august)
7 Corners Hardware has a pretty good print catalog. Here's a link to their main website:
7 Corners
Ahh...7 Corners. Make it one step better and fly up here to good ol' St. Paul Minnesota and enjoy the store in person. A place where men are men...As for tool crib, i thought that they have always been amazon.com. With how cheap they sell its no wonder they cant afford the catalog anymore. Its sad, cause now i only have FH to read on the throne.
Tool crib was a store like seven corners with a natioanal presence. Then Amazom bought them up and they ran parrallell operations for about three years. Amazzon finally losed the catalouge operation and went totally online with them. Before, during the transition, Amazzon was strictly a marketer for the store/warehouse, but now they are in full control and running the ship their way

Right into the shoals....
Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? I woke up in a Soho doorway A policeman knew my name He said "You can go sleep at home tonight If you can get up and walk away" I staggered back to the underground And the breeze blew back my hair I remember throwin' punches around And preachin' from my chair chorus: Well, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) I really wanna know (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Tell me, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) 'Cause I really wanna know (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) I took the tube back out of town Back to the Rollin' Pin I felt a little like a dying clown With a streak of Rin Tin Tin I stretched back and I hiccupped And looked back on my busy day Eleven hours in the Tin Pan God, there's got to be another way Who are you? Ooh wa ooh wa ooh wa ooh wa ... Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? Who are you? Who, who, who, who? (chorus) I know there's a place you walked Where love falls from the trees My heart is like a broken cup I only feel right on my knees I spit out like a sewer hole Yet still recieve your kiss How can I measure up to anyone now After such a love as this? (chorus)
have you looked at JLC or thought of subscribing to it?
http://www.jlconline.com
Nothing against FHB or anything. JLC is another good mag.
I am planning on getting a subscription this weekend.
Just be carefull with asking a question on the JCL Forum. I just witnessed a flame out by the "Pros" who are vitriolic about answering questions from DIY'ers !!!!
They are quick to point out that the site is for "professionals only". However, after reading some of the supposed "pro's" questions, I wasn't impressed.
But I did get a kick out of the 'dust-up' created by "amateurs" asking questions.
Like a bunch of kids who built a treehouse and want to protect their exclusive club.
I love this (FineHB) forum, learn tons and am impressed by the wide variety of topics and everyone's willingness to help!!!!!
yeah, they're a little hoity toity over there, but there is a lot of good information to be had as well.
I just hate myself when I get all hoity toity, don't you?

hey, you're milage may vary ;)
IIRC things to move as fast there as here, so may take awhile to get a bunch answers. Also, since each forum has its own moderator, posts won't get moved like they do here. You posted in tile, wonder if tools would have been better? where you posted looks right, wonder what the traffic is on that forum.

Having been flamed I agree a bunch of butt heads there.
7 corners --- my wife's favorite store!!!!!
For Christmas, all my wife has to do is call them, tell them what tools I have and they suggest a gift. Always dead on!!!! We lived in Mpls but are now in Omaha (Federal Witness Protection Program ??) but still call and shop @ 7 corners.
When my (now wife) then "sweetpea" were together for about 5 years, she went to 7corners store. She told them she wanted to buy a 'top line' saw for me as a gift. The salesman showed her all the options and she narroed it down to 2. A Delta contractors saw and a Delta Unisaw. There was quite a diffence in price so she asked "what's the difference between the two?"
Salesman: (Pointing to expensive model) "this is the one a husband usually wants..." Then points to the cheaper model, "this is what the wife usually buys for him"
She said, "ok, since we're not married, I better buy him the expensive one!!!!!"
I now have a great saw AND a SUPER WIFE !!!!!
"I now have a great saw AND a SUPER WIFE !!!!!"And a wonderful story!
