There was an article in Fine Woodworking where a guy built his own. It was smaller than the the one in the link. The problem I see off the top of my head is that it wouldn't work that well with certain jobs. On some jobs you want to take everything inside and work there. You're dedicating resources to one system that might not fit.
I didn't see an article in FH but there was an article about the trailer the guy built in JLC last summer. The builder hangs out here as "gdcarpenter"
Have a good day

I checked into these a few years ago.
I like the idea a lot, but not the price tag. 7300 bucks for the 16' trailer.
That was maybe 5 years ago. Dunno if the price went up since then or not.
They are all custom made. No production run on 'em. The guy that owns the business is a nice guy. I talked to him on the phone several times, but never got out there to check 'em out in person. I live in Michigan and he makes 'em in Spearfish, South Dakota. Kind of a long drive...
I saw those on another forum recently, I 'think' the latest price was up over $10k...maybe even low teens depending on the set-up.

here are some pics of my trailer , I can roll everything up in it and it holds everything I need. and when I need to I can empty it and use it for hauling other stuff. I usually set my tools up at a job site for the duration and im able to use it to get things and even store stuff while im working like sheet rock and windows etc.Carpentry and remodeling

Dude - I had that same trailer. Carmate, black w/diamond plate package, ramp door, man door...it was a sweet set-up but too much vehicle for me to be dragging around for handyman-type work.

I know it is a lot for small but Im at most small jobs at least 3 days and most jobs are 2 to 3 weeks or more for me. bathroom and kitchen remodels so I leave it on the job site once I get there. up in Bangor Maine we can leave trailers safely, at least for now that is. They are nice trailers though. Have a good day man.Carpentry and remodeling

Yeah I thought they would be pricey and take up more room the way the doors swing.

I lusted after one of those for a year or so, back when the price was between 7K and 8K before the price of metals went sky high.
I would probably have ended up owning one if they were closer to me.

Excellence is its own reward!
I have one, bought it in 2002 for $7500, been pretty darn pleased with it.
Very easy to keep organized and neat. With a regular enclosed trailer you have to pull out horses, miter stands, tablesaw, outfeed devices to start working, with this there is virtually no set up time, pull up,plug in, go to work.
This trailer replaced a 7x12 enclosed haulmark, It holds about 3 times as much stuff and due to the single tow arm it is as easy to manuver.
My only complaint is that I wish it was a little taller, at 6'-1 I will bonk my noggin at least once a day on the pistons that hold the door up.
If something happened to mine, I would pay the going rate for a new one in a heartbeat.
To put that in context - what is your climate and what sort of work do you normally do?

I am 40 miles north of NYC. I do just about anything residential from handyman BS up to 3 million dollar renovations.
The trailer is most helpfull on small jobs where set up would consume more time propotionate the amount of work, and where you are having to do multi trades.
I do a lot of bathroom /kitchen jobs, in the trailer I carry all tools and supplies for carpentry of course, tilework, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and duct work for vents. The only stuff I gotta remember to load/unload daily is the stuff that will freeze this time of year. I also find that 90% of people have a "while your here list of requests", that I can normally handle with the stuff I carry with me.
For bigger jobs where the trades get subbed out and the set ups can stay in place it is not as usefull, but it is nice that every peice of equipment does have a home.
My area is pretty safe, so I will leave it at an occupied home, but it is a drag having to pull it home every night on jobs that are unoccupied. Now that I said that I have probably jinxed myself, I think I will go shop for an alarm.
Thanks everyone for the input.Webby

So how do you keep the snow out of the drawers when you are driving?
Ha Ha!
Very nice set UP.
Not much snow here in CT. Keep feeling cold here today with high around 28 F. Then I remember my youth in Ontario and talking to my Aunt in Winnipeg realize that it ain't that cold after all in the big picture!Let's not confuse the issue with facts!
Envy, drool, drool!
Unfortunately this kind would disappear within 2 nights parked in front of a job here. I mean they would take the whole shebang not just the tools.
It is also very job-oriented. In the city you would need a special permit and flagmen if you wanted to use the pullouts.
Unless you always have jobs where you could use it as shown, you would have to have a second vehicle to transport your tools.
Nevertheless it is a beauty.

Huck, I think you're really on to something there! I'd love a more detailed post from you, describing methods, materials, and hardware used. Would I make an exact copy? No. But I might build on the idea ... customize it for my particular needs.

May 2007 issue of the Journal of Light Construction has a 5 or 6 page article on the trailer. Outside of a few initial water leaks into the drawers that I easily remedied she's pretty weather tight. As for saw dust A nothing stops it

HORSES ????

They look cool, but two observations:
1. You probably couldn't park one on the street and use it wings-up.
2. They fairly scream "steal me, I'm full of tools."
I live 200 yards from the police station, on a main road, have a streetlight at the end of the driveway, and still some morons broke into all the cars in the neighborhood at 3am one day last summer. Nothing stolen, just looking for money. My van was out with cash in it; and they didn't even look. Never underestimate the stupidity of a crook. (I now park it in the garage).
Attached are some images of my trailer. These are the first pictures I've posted here and it took a lot longer than expected, so I gotta run. I'l be back to explain them late.r
Here are some more, please let me know if they're to large or the wrong format.
Here's the last of them. I'll be back later to explain what how the trailer works.
