With all this talk about treated wood eating deck hangers, what about building walls with the bottom plate being treated. Will that stuff eat the 16d sinkers I’ve been using? Do we need to switch to stainless steel nails?

This stuff will rust out those ordinary 16d nails ( and also bolts) in about 6 months. SS is the best answer as ordinary galvanized rust also. Prove it to yourself, take a scrap and stick those ordinary nails in them and re-visit in 6 months.
