Where could you get sales data to show what people are buying – regular bathtubs, whirlpool bathtubs or air tubs (bubblers) ?
Is that published in some industry publication? I have read healt concerns about the jetted tubs and a realtor told me many builders are going back the “soakers” tubs which is fufu talk for a regular bathtub – I think. which way is the industry going? meanwhile the plumbing stores are stocked with mostly bublers on display???is there a whirlpool trade association that might know?

I don't know where you would get an honest answer to that question. The best anecdotal evidence I can give is that both hot tub and jetted tub sales seem to be down.
When I build a spec house I never put in jetted tubs. Between having to provide access to the pump, and the thought of one more mechanical item I must warranty, I don't see it as that great a selling feature. On a personal note: after listening to saws and other tools all day the last thing I want in the tub is another motor while I'm trying to relax.
Have you put in any "bubblers" ?Agree on the noise
No, no bubblers either. One of the joys of spec building (which goes some little way to compensate for the constant fear of losing your shirt) is that you build what you want. Don't like the colors? Want a bubbler? Try the house down the street. I built this one the way I wanted.
I am curious. Are you trying to decide on that tub to put in your own place, or is it a house you plan on selling?
Own.
Some talk on the net about whirlpool tubs having health hazards due the Yuck in the pipes. Not a prob to me but might be a negative on resale
Air tubs may be a fad- plus never been in one.
