Hey finish guys,
I do alot of building, but putting up crown isn’t something often on the plate. Here’s the thing: my personal house, wife mad because IT STILL ISN’I DONE, new drywall ceiling (know where the joists are), old plaster walls (no idea about studs, drilled holes still can’t tell).
Questions: Can I reach the top plate with a 2 1/2 air nail from the bottom edge of 2×3 crown or must I find the studs?
And – will the 15ga. nails blow through the plaster or are nails to bend and chunks of freshly painted plaster to fly?
any other quick tips would be great too.
Thanks in advance, Bill
