has any one had troubles with round head nailers. I’ve got one bostich and two sencos and they both are a pain in the butt. It seems like it is in the transition between clips that they get jammed. When using 8’s we have resorted to one clip at a time the only way we can keep the jamming to a minimum. The amazing thing is i have an old senco cliped head that must be close to 20yrs old and it never jams and quite honestly works better than these new guns. Its weight is twice as much but at least it works. I’ve come to the conclusion that full round head nailers suck and are unnecessary poor technology, built by evil engineers to frustrate carpenters. willy

Few people understand it. Nobody agrees what it is, how to learn about it, or who's responsible for it. It has never been more important

THE CODE DID IT.
For all the nice stuff I say about Senco, when it comes to coil nailers, I say Hitachi. That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

I have 3 Senco roundhead framing nailers. In 10 years I can probably count the jams with less than 10 fingers (After 4 large houses, a couple of commercial buildings and numerous renovations, additions and remodels).. And the jams, as I recall, have been when there was a small glob of the plastic (?) coalating strip on a particular clip or extending beyond the clip excessively. When I see that, I usually trim it with a utility knife before loading the gun. But that's a defect in the clip assembly, not the gun.
Can't diagnose your problem...sorry. I do keep the guns oiled and shoot the slide and other external parts with WD-40 every day or 2 of use.

Check your magazine...
Something might have dropped on it or the slot needs to be tightened up or that little nub that goes over the top of the nail clip got broken off short.
Your absolutely right the only time these really matter are when you are shooting 8's ..... with the big ones they seem to stay in the slot better.
I have a porter cable framer, yeah thats right a porter cable. You can all make your jokes but I have never had one jamb....yet....
Seriously, For all the bad things I have heard about the PC it has never jammed once, probably had it about a year and is used at least once a week, and much more if there is an addition or something going up.
Have you tried different brands of nails, there not all created equal?
