maybe someone can help.
looking for a specific tool, been searching on line but no luck so far (likely poor search skills)
want to buy a gift for a plumber, specifically (way it was described to me)
Douglas medium pumps, yellow handle – some type of wrench.
He is particular about his tools so want to find these. He buys his tools at his supplier, but that is over an hour drive one way, so hoping to find on the net.
TIA

This may be a start from what I can gather from your post, but not yellow and not Douglas.

I love my Knipex pliers but would recommend you get the Cobra model instead of the alligator. The Cobra uses a positive locking pushbutton to hold the jaw opening while the alligator is similar to "Channel locks" but seem to slip into different jaw openings at the most inopportune time. I use mine more than any other tool I own.
I got no dog in this deal, I just pointed BobL in a general direction going on the word Pump and plumber in his post.
But I'll keep that in mind...I use Channel Lock brand myself.

I was just going off of your thread....Try some Knipex Gators...If you dont think they are better than any slip joint pliers you have used I will buy them from you. Somebody stole my last Cobras and I still miss em.
I just may. I DO have a plumbing project coming up and new tools always help ease the pain.

I have almost every pair of water pump, channel lock, etc pliers shown in the thread so far. I like these suckers the best. Got a pair for Christmas last year and saw this ebay ( just bought a Robotoolz 5-spot laser as a spare from him).
To open them wider you have to push button, to make smaller just slide. I like the square jaws.

But for a basic water-pump plier, either the Reed or the Craftsman are just fine at half the price.
