Hey Grant,
Looking pretty dapper on facebook!
I hope to paint the house next week and will be cleaning it with TSP (tri sodium phosphate, bleach and water mix. I plan on testing an inconspicuous spot on the copper, but thought you may know what effect it would have on the roof.
Thanks
Kevin

I don't think it will do anything to it, but I don't really know for sure.

I was thinking it might effect the patina, nothing more than that. I'll let you know how it turns out.
TSP is a degreaser, so I'd expect it to remove whatever residual oil may be on the copper from the rolling process. In that case, I'd expect that if some areas get TSP and others don't, the ones that do may patina a tad bit faster. I don't think it'll hurt the copper, but the safest course might be to give the same treatment to all the copper, just for uniform appearance.

Washed the whole house this weekend, it did nothing to the copper, made the house look like new wood.
Real TSP will discolor the copper if you mix it strong enough. You can remove baked on enamel with it mixed to a paste.
