Would like to use a turbine vent to vent the the roof of my new home – I don’t want a mushroom farm up there. The roof is flat concrete tile. I’ve been told that there is no way to flash the turbine vent on top of the tile. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to flash the turbine vent on top of the tile?

if you have a flat roof and that has been tiled, what is the roof constructed of?...is it concrete?..if so, I'd be very wary of cutting any holes in it as that would be a recipie for disaster.
*Tom,Sorry, now I've re read your post I'm with you.....check the types of turbine vents available, there are some made with a built in flashing for tile roofs.
*Mark, do you have any manufacturers names that make a turbine vent for this type of application. I've tried the various roofing supply companies in Denver, Colorado and they don't have em'. Tried Homer Depot and Lowes, they don't have em for tile roofs.
*TomI don't think you'll find a turbine vent with the appropriate flashing apron for a tile roof. I would solve the problem by installing a standard turbine vent and fabricating a custom lead flashing apron. I can go into more detail if you like.
*Tom. See Chapter 23 Attic Ventilation -Turbine Vents, page 604-5-- in Complate Building Construction, 4th Edition, for reasons why you should not install turbine vents. GeneL
