help!
Doing a double bathroom reno. It would be alot easier to have a central vent unit in the attic with a pipe going to each bathroom.
I’ve seen the panisonic unit and the fantech unit….. BUT….. how would the on/off function work?
A 3 way switch type won’t work. If one were on and some one “turned on” the second, he infact would turn it off. Get what I mean????
So how do I do it? Living in Montreal. So I need a local thing. Nothing that is only available in TIMBUCKTWO!

Two standard single-pole switches, wired in parallel.

Your lucky day big boy..................oooops, shorty.
I had my first encounter with the same situation, only in this case the customer wanted timer switches in each bath. I'm sure someone will verify my memory.
An HVAC contractor I talked to explained it this way. Take both your switch wires up to the unit-the power feed is located at the unit. DO NOT run power up from the switches.
Treat the switches (timers) like they're single pole switches. You are merely completing the circuit.
This from a dumb carpenter, an electical wizard can probably (and will no doubt) map it out simply for you so you don't smoke the unit.
edit: See, already done. We were concerned about using timers, whether they would burn up. Nope, one timer can override the other when done this way.

What I would do is wire one switch perfectly normally. Then run a 2-conductor+ground romex from that switch to the other switch. Use the romex to connect the top terminal of one switch to the top of the other, and the bottom terminal to the other bottom.
If your view never changes you're following the wrong leader
yep, that's simpler.

any suggestions on best fan power unit to use?, doing something similar in my home in near future.
I have a Fantech unit in my attic, with two timer switches in two bathrooms wired the way Dan shows.
