Gene what's up?
You could do a whole house full of windows with the 6" Vicor for $200.00 or so.
Even if it cost $500.00.
20 windows flashed for 25.00 (less) in materials?
Another one of those cheap insurances to me.
I sure hope the weather breaks soon so you can stop thinking about this project so much!!
You need to start doing. Do you have a date to start?

Gene,
At the recommendation of the guy at the yard, I tried to use the flex flash back in December for flashing the pan on a bunch of windows and on the top of some roundtops. Bought about 4 boxes (took three back). Maybe in 70 degree weather this stuff is wonderful, but in 40 degree weather (w/o a heat gun) it was stiff and didn't stick even after stapling it. Vycor (with the help of a couple staples) worked fine. Not to mention the vycor costs about about 1/6 the price.
Regards,
Dennis
we buy the Grace in the 75" x 3' rolls... and cut our own strips.. even cheaper..
and, in cold weather we always use a heat gun..
even insummer , we use a heat gun to form the corner flash at the window pan Mike Smith Rhode Island : Design / Build / Repair / Restore
Thanks, Mike. That's what we'll do.
Why don't you start one of those "how to" threads with photos and text. Show us the way to flash a window opening. Grace superstick, heat gun, and all.
Do you cut through the whole roll or cut 75' long strips?

Ya man- I like doing that and I also like some stuff that I ran across along time ago at harrington supply. I would have to relook but I think it's made by National??? out of Denver. It's Ice dam but its thinner, I think it's like 40mil or instead of 60mil? Just a little easier to work with.
How does it compare to copper or stainless steel?
tyvek costs more..
