Greetings rd,
This post, in response to your question, will bump the thread through the 'recent discussion' listing again.
Perhaps it will catch someones attention that can help you with advice.
Cheers

Shelves all around in the closet. Utilize the space between the stringers for shelves. Waste of good space when you just rock over the stringers.
Light switch built into the door jamb, No pull chain or other swithch box.
Use full extension glides on the drawer pullouts. Contents accessible from both sides. Put a cover of the top shelf or you could lose an item that is too tall to clear the cabinet head, especially on the short side.
Great idea! Also, the craftsmanship looks good. I am keeping the picture in my file.
Thanks,
TTF
Ralph, I can't add much to what you said. Nice pull outs.
For shelving in tight locations, matching the size of the drawers to what you're putting in there makes a big difference in how much of the space is actually used. Just like building storage in RVs, boats, small houses, etc., figure out what will go in there and size accordingly. For instance, there's no sense making a 6' tall section for golf clubs, or a 2' wide cubby for fishing pole storage.
Cheers,

What has been posted so far looks good, but you might want to go to Borders and look thru a copy of "Built in furniture" by Jim Tolpin. There are several great photos and ideas in the book regarding under the stair storage along with lots of other cool solutions to storage issues. Highly recommend it.
