I’m installing tile in 2 bathrooms and want to keep the floor as low as possible. I have heard of a replacement for concrete board and/or hardiboard that is less than a 1/4 inch thick and is some sort of vinyl product (or something like that?) that can be cut with scissors. Supposedly it has been used in Europe for some time now. Does anyone know what this product is and is it effective? What are the drawbacks or shortcomings of this product? Are there any specific installation issues? Thanks for any feedback.
