First, dont say ‘dont try it’, as i gonna. <G>
Anyway, anyone done this.
.. plan is to first build up some 3/4″ thick black nylon 66 to marine grade baltic birch plywood, undermount sink epoxied to nylon, laminate edge over the nylon with epoxy (regular contact cement on the wood) and then route the nylon to match.
Sny suggestions other than nylon/ could use corian if could find some cheap chunks.

Think this is a first though.
First time he ever asked a question that I can remember.

I found one other before that was laying there unanswered.
Probably most are wondering what they could suggest to him that he hasn't already tried.
Any suggestions other than nylon...

Junkhound,
Karran Products makes a sink for this but more importantly the have a proven technique that looks like it would work for most sinks. Here's a link.

Did it on my own bath except the inside edge above the sink bowl is laminate and the top is laminate. I cut the oval for the sink then cut a strip of laminate the exact diameter. I used epoxy to glue the strip in the opening sanded it flush put the laminate on top. Sealed the bottom surface with an exterior poly, caulked the sink rim and used the clips that came with the sink to hold it on.
