As a couple of you asked I’m letting you know what’s happening. Talked to the drywall guy and he accepted my input (backed by your advice) in a good manner. We agreed to do the inside corners with aluminum (sp?) angle with paper attached and leave the joints between the wall and popcorn ceiling to be caulked. The first room has been done and we have problems with the corners. The paper on the preformed angles refuses to stay flat and bubbles even after 2 or 3 coats of mud. This is the first time he’s worked with this product and doesn’t like to use tape so we don’t know what’s going on. Any clues.
Oh! and before anyone jumps down my throat with shouted (large caps) critique of my busuness acumen or snide comments (see some responses to my last post) please understand that I am not critising the contractor (or myself) just looking for help. If this is not the forum where a homeowner can get calm, non sarcastic, objective advice just let me know and I’ll go away!!
