USG Humitek drywall (moisture-resistant)
Is this product out on the market yet? Anyone tried it?
eta – looks like it’s already been replaced by USG Mold-Tough drywall !
Any experiences? Any problems with ceilings (sag)??

I work for a drywall company and have used a lot of the new generation of drywalls by USG and other manufacturers. I would have to say that these products have not really been around long enough to make a call on how they perform in the long run.
The added costs of these products can be significant.
As far as Humitec goes, I don't recognize the name directly, but we use mold tough by the truckload. It is the "new" green board, how it works will be determined over time.
I think Densarmor Plus seems like a good paperless product, but when I see it being taped, I remember that mold grows on mud and tape as well as anything.
The only solution to mold is the elimination of excessive moisture.

http://www.getmoldfacts.com/index.jspThis is USG website touting Mold Tough, Fiber Rock, and Dourock. The first first thing that they say is Control Moisture, Control Mold. Then they go into details how to do that while touting their products. What they are "saying" is that no matter how good our products are if you have continous moisture problem they ain't enough to stop mold problems..
