What is the lowest temp I can glue utility pipe? I know it says 40 degrees on the can of cement. Has anyone found it will cure at lower temps?
Thank you.

What are you gluing? What kind of glue are you using? Why don't you believe the maunfacturer? - lol
Dave45,
I'm gluing pvc utility pipe and attempting to finish it so the trench can be covered before spring thaw. I have already found the ditch falls into itself already and I still have 300 feet to finish. Was just wondering if the carlon would cure lower than 40 degrees.
Thanks.
It would seem like a hairdryer directed in one end, even some distance away, would warm it sufficiently.
Forrest
Thank you, Forrest. I will try that for sure.
I hate to have the 300 foot trench fall in before I get the utililty pipe in and completed. Although Winter is here in New England and I am a little short on time.
If the " utility pipe " that you refer to is electrical conduit, use " All Weather PVC cement".
I buy it at the electrical wholesaler here where I buy the conduit.
It has always seemed to work OK in the winter for me.
