I am planning on finishing my basement this winter. My basement block walls are generally dry to the touch but have some mold on them in one corner of the room at floor-level. I did paint the block with latex DRYLOK masonry waterproofer. Should I use a vapor barrier between the block and the 2×4 stud walls? If yes, what brand or type of barrier should I use?

I would use a 6 mill. v.b.
*If you use pink or blue rigid styrofoam insulation (not the white beadboard) and glue it to the wall you'll have a lot of the problem licked. There's an old trick (a mystery) that has you wind a couple mof dozen twists of copper wire around a bit of 1x2, one end of the wire on the floor and the other attached to the wall...osmosis, it's reckoned.
