When strapping out a ceiling for drywall, is it best to put up the vapour barrier first or the strapping? Any benefits of doing it one way or the other?

we do the vb below the strapping, that way when the drywall is up it helps support it if the insulation is blown or sagged ..
I'd say below the strapping ... eliminates a surface for condensation if a 'situation' presents itself. Plan B: vapor barrier paint (nominal cost if any).
