I thought I was going to get a peak into an attic that has no other access.
I guess I should’ve paid more attention and saved myself a few minutes.

We tried out a range of rotary and random-orbit sanders to compare their dust collection, quality of finish, and user fatigue after hours of sanding.

Jeff,The "other side" does not exist. It runs into the second story that covers the front of the house. That attic has a vent at each end. They look real from the ground, but....Rich BeckmanAnother day, another tool.

I'll bet there is code that says there will be attic access via a scuttle hole somewhere in the house.
Ralph,I don't know if it is code or not, but I assume it is. Code or not, there is no access. I was able to view the entire ceiling area under that attic as well as the entire wall area that abuts the attic.Rich BeckmanAnother day, another tool.
There shall be access to the attic area with a minimum opening of 24x30 inches.
There shall be venting in that attic area to provide an up or cross draft flow of the the entire unoccupied space.
