Is there a difference in the wordage of Wall Mount VENT Hood and Wall Mount CHIMNEY Hood?
As in is the classification of Chimney hood meaning one that goes straight up through the roof
and Vent hood means just exiting the wall?
Thanks

That's how I would define the two. But what do I know?

But you all knew that. I detailed it extensively in my blog.
What's the context?

Ebay Vent Chimney Hood
I think that the chimney hood just means an exposed vertical vent section that is part of the hood. Once it gets above the ceiling it can exit any way.
Wall mount means tht the wall is part of the support.
While a $200 vent from hommie might also exit through the roof it would not be a chimmey hoot as the it ends at the top of the hood and the ducting is extra.

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
So a chimney hood system might not necessarily have to vent out directly thru the roof if vented up thru an attic
as it might be able to vent out of a vent located in an attic sidewall gable peak that the hood ductwork would be running up alongside side of?
be I think I said that right
Now I have not look at the details are download the installation instructions for 2 dozen different hoods. But basic on the picture that is my guess..

I think you got it right. My take as well.
