We have a finished basement that we would like ventilated with both old air going out, and fresh new air coming in. We do not have the budget for a full heat-recovery ventilation system. So I am wondering if there are any affordable 2-way ventilation systems? Perhaps something as simple as a bathroom fan that ventilates 2-ways. Any recommendations are welcome. Thank you.

Source control, ventilation, and filtration are the keys to healthy indoor air quality. Dehumidification is important too.

I substituted aluminum roofing for the plastic and got close to 90% efficiency. Burden Surplus Center is great for small fans.
