soffit & ridge... balanced in net free area

soffit vents let the flow of air in, a ridge vent lets it out, letting the warm air out as it rises. gable vents disturb that flow
soffit and ridge........or just gables.
gable and soffit/ridge together just fight each other....reducing the venting.
soffit and gable do work....just not at "peak" performance. Think of soffit as the intake and the ridge as the exhaust. Jeff
