Just wanted to express a note of appreciation to those who answered our Nation’s call. Tomorrow is your day and yours’ alone and I sincerely hope that the towns in which you live do you justice.
It is also Remembrance Day in Canada and the United Kingdom, my appreciation is also extended to those of you north of our border and across the pond.
Proud to be an American and God Bless you all.

November 11th always brings mixed emotions to our home.
The motto is "Lest we Forget" but our government has forgotten our Merchant Marines that sailed the North Atlantic. They waited for most to die and only started to recognize the sacrifice these young men made for their country, recently. Too late for most.
Token offers of settlement were made after a small number of them went on a hunger strike on Parliament Hill a few years ago.
Seems hypocritical to have Remembrance Day for some and not for all who sacrificed.
Both my uncles were killed in the 2nd World War as part of the regular military and for them I remember but for our Merchant Marines, my government has forsaken and for this I feel shame.
