I’m in the process of installing vinyl siding on one side of a house (blown budget nixed new cedar claps or residing the entire house). Plans are to reside the rest of the house in the near future, just not this season. My concern is how to deal with outside corners and still keep things weather tight. Should I use outside corner posts or J-channel (or wrap around the corner and try to end at an inside corner)? FWIW, house is presently has cedar claps covered with asbestos-cement shingles (ugh!).
Thanks in advance!
