i want to install wainscoting in my diningroom, 36″ high, using a gridwork of 1×4 and 1×6 with a panelmoulding for the boxes.my question is after i apply the 3/4″ thick baseboard on to my gridwork, the whole frame stick out 1 1/2″ on the bottom. should i use a heavy backband on my new doorcasings so the basebord dies into it nicely. i hope all of it makes sense to somebody. thanks for any advice.
