Like I said in a previous post, right after college I moved to Germany to do condo conversions, but now I’m back home so I need a little insight in the American market.
My question regards wall mounted toilets. A customer of mine would like me to somewhat replicate a renovation I did back in Germany. In Germany, wall mounted toilets are pretty much the standard. But here, I’ve been looking around and I can’t seem to find a wall mounted toilet including the concealed water tank system for under 450 bucks. This is even for the most basic model. Am I looking in the wrong places? Anybody know of a good distributor?
I just need something like this (picture attached of the bathroom I did)

In our new house we used one Caroma wall mounted toilet and one Caroma floor mount. Both are dual flush, which we like. This is an Australian company. If you google Caroma toilets, you'll find the web site. So far, there're lookin good.
When I called to check out a price on the wall mount, I was told $1,000.I said that was too much, but decided to go with it in the end. The bill came in from our plumber for $1,500 and it did not include the toilet seat. The chest pains that started shortly after construction began last July are getting worse.
We start moving at 8:15 this morning. It is supposed to rain again today. Our house is not finished and we had 6 seperate leaks is the basement from yesterday's rain. We are over 5 months past completion date, and have pretty much given up on getting things corrected and finished at our house. Tonight, I'm down to 3 hrs sleep- I see you're up, too.
Good luck with your search.
just curious - after you factor in the exchange rate, how much US$$ would one of your German toilets cost?
The one in the picture cost about 315 bucks with the exchange rate factored in.

How do the traps on the sink drains work? Looks like the inlet is larger than the outlet but I can't tell for sure. Any other German engineering I am missing?
Really like the clean lines - nice work

When visiting Europe most people like to go to the castles and other tourist destinations. My favorite sight-seeing is at the local hardware or appliance store. I love the differences in styles & designs. And now I want one of those wall-mount toilets!
My mom's an archaeologist - on a business trip to Dijon, I picked up 45 metric folding rules (for laying out survey squares) for her and her co-workers.
Just a cheap hardware store item there, a spendy special order here.
Got pulled in customs (all in my only bag, a carry-on). Kind of funny, really.

That looks like a Gerberet Duravit
I'm puting one & a matching bidet for a lady whose family owns a rather large clothing store chain.
Only high end foo foo shops sell them around here not very popular there for the price goes way up.
I install 10x more wall hung toilets than floor mount ones but they have a big chrome flushometer mounted on them.

Damn, you know your stuff. You're exactly right, that's a gereberit. But is that all that is offered here in the states for wall mounted toilets, european imported toilets? Aren't there any American companies I can buy from where I can get them cheaper?
Only 2 wall hungs with hidden tanks I know of is that one & the Australian one that another poster brought up.
Kohler American Standard have wall hung exposed tank models.
That hidden tank is just not that popular in the states yet.
Just like Uponor¯ was used in Europe long before here now with the outrages price of copper it is the pipe of choice.Do you look to the government for an entitlement, or to GOD for empowerment. BDW
