Wanted: Jungle Carpet Python

andybuildz | Posted in Reader Classified on April 14, 2009 02:43am

Yeh, i know, I know…but I’ve seen a lot stranger things in BT for sale.

I’ve been frequenting all my fav Fauna Sites but I haven’t been able to find the snake I want at a price I can afford. I know a lot of times people get involved with animals that seemed like a great idea at the time and then either desert them or worse and snakes are one of em’.

I’m specifially looking for Jungle Carpet Python this time. I want one thats got some brilliant yellow…not one that looks like a rotten banana. A 1 o2 year old or older would be great but I’ll take a baby even though they tend to bite some. With the 1 and 2 year olds you can pretty much tell what the colorings going to be .

Anyway…if anyone just happens to know….hahahaha…anyone that wants to get rid of one I’ll pay for the shipping and maybe even a lil’ adoption fee.

Thanks

andy

Is that a red-tail boa?  We used to have one - I did demos at schools with her, & made a lot of friends for snake-kind.

        1. andybuildz | Apr 15, 2009 02:52am | #6

No...the red tails get too big for me to want to deal with...up to 16' I think.

It's ball python. They're real friendly if you handle them all the time. I think the Jungle Carpet snakes are the same but get a bit bigger then the ball pythons and are really pretty...at least to me they are : )~~

What I'd really like are the tree pythons...they're way beautiful but they bite too much for my liking...One day maybe.

Yeah, that tree python is pretty. I've been thinking about snakes recently as our rare but
native timber rattler is threatened by the gas drilling.

There's been quite a few snakes that were on the endangered species list that have come back to light due to people keeping them as pets and responsibly breeding them. I find them amazing animals.

Some of these people are kinda weird though...lol...heavily into guns and snakes. I dunno...something weird in that to me. Then there's those that keep crocs and poisonious snakes...weird! Although I do have to say I'm real interested in the King Cobra's. I think they're illegal in NY...not that I'd get one...hmmmm. they're REAL intense looking. I dunno...maybe I'm weird too...lol. I do own a 12 guage...although I have no ammo for it...lol. OK...half weird.

If yer interested this is a really good site I frequent.  http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=841

Thanks Kent...yeh... I know...I'm on their mailing list but I think I'll wait till they come here. They do a show at The Huntington Hilton every year.

Stop by sometime if yer around. I should be working around here ay home the rest of the week. waiting for some bathroom fixtures to come in the beginning of next week to finish up a bathroom in Huntington then build the guy an addition to his sunroom  that'll be a timber frame open on 3 sides. The jobs up behind Bottles n Cases. Been there for like 5 months already but this sunroom addition thing will be it there for a while.
