I am interested in the pros and cons of “warmboard”. The price is very high to me….almost $5.60 sqft????…less 0.80 for 3/4cdx, so high $4s!!!! Does it really work like the manufacturer claims. Thanks inadvance.

I've worked with warmboard and it is a good product with good results. Having said that their current prices appear to be out of line and we quit using it unless a customer requests it specificially. If you are looking at new construction it might make more sense to beef up the structure for one of the light weight concrete mixtures to cover your pex lines.
Was Warmboard less money and then went up? Warmboard is less for me because of installation cost with a light weight concrete system. Did you do the rough plumbing prior laying the tubes?Also, can some of the over the floor system put out the same btu per sqft as warmboard?
