I'm not sure, but think I may have an idea. Did you do any work for the people who's little kid was in the Oracle's waiting room on The Matrix movie?

the longer the level the least likely it is to stay true .. that said, what do you mean by warped, twisted?, bowed, bubbles out of level, what's it made of, there are allot of things that happen to a level when you really were looking for a straight edge, or crow bar ...
its an extruded aluminum level, and if you put a straight edge on the level edge, its not flat. there is a slight bow to the edge. not good for installing door jambs or anything else.
Is it a Tates?
I've had problems with one of their compasses --no matter which way you turn, it points North. Drives me up the wall!

"He who has a Tates is lost."
I was working with a guy who had a Tates level. He dropped mine off the 2nd floor, and it landed in a thick Rose thatch. I got all cut up getting it out. And then it turned out it was bent from the fall. He felt bad, especially when he saw I was bleeding, so he gave me his level. I guess you could say that's how I got a Tates for blood."...craftsmanship is first & foremost an expression of the human spirit." - P. Korn

"master level"... is that a brand or what?
master level is a brand. supposed to be very good.
If you email them, they reply very quickly and i'm sure they will just replace it.[email protected]
I agree they'll probably replace it. Just email them and tell them what you noticed. If the level is not abused, and you can tell from looking at it, then I think they'll replace it. Good companies want you happy and satisfied, they won't battle over something like this.
It maybe intentionally bowed so that it is not thrown off by a warped board.
Just the top and bottom touch with space in the middle to allow for bumps trash etc.
I don't know for sure on that level.
