Was that accident thread a mistake?

I keep getting replies, but when I look it says the thread is deleted.  Was there something wrong with posting that thread, or is it my PC going crazy?

And after looking around, searching and poking around, still no access point...I've heard "tavern" things but never bothered to investigate.  Is this hidden?  Invite only?  Not for the feeble minded?

      TIA."It depends on the situation..."

Lindenboy, post here http://forums.taunton.com/tp-breaktime/messages?msg=122611.1 for access to the Tavern.  That's where threads go that aren't specifically about construction and don't fit into one of the other categories.

I got this message from my friend the PI Atty:

I'll have 2 good firms to you by tomorrow @ noon. I have to be in court in the AM so I'll,miss you then. Tell your friend, no statements to anyone and don't sign anything.
    Jeff.

Look at the bottom of the list of threads, for the tavern

If you don't see it, log out, close all browser pages, open the browser again, log in, and look at the bottom of he list of threads again.

    You should see it there.

Your thread was inappropriately moved to the "subscriber's only" tavern, a childish and arbitrary decision, IMO, by one of this board's moderators.

The topic you brought up is one that many people in the trades have faced and will continue to face so it's certainly pertinent to this board's readers.

There are many members here who don't subscribe to the tavern because of the largely poli-jive nature of the place.  I'm a former subscriber who decided to have my access to that site eliminated for that precise reason.

BTW, your thread was available to me for enough time to read the advice given you by BruceT.  I'm glad that he took the time to offer such complete advice and that you were able to see the wisdom in following his suggestions.

Best wishes for a successful outcome, Peter

"There are many members here who don't subscribe to the tavern because of the largely poli-jive nature of the place."

I withdrew my access for completely pragmatic reasons:

The murder rate for the southern end of Vancouver Island where I live averages four deaths a year. Usually one is drug related, one is by a spouse and two occur in bars. My thinking is that as I am not involved in the drug trade, and don't frequent taverns, as long as I keep an eye on my wife I couldn't get killed here if I tried. Safety by demographics.
