You've loosened up some scale and it's clogged the shower head. Take it off and clean it out.

Or plugged the shower valve with crud. Either way , dismantle and clean.

I just went through this and CLR the whole shower assy, pulled the tub fawcett and what I think I did not get was the shower valve/clapper.
How do you reno that assy?

Is this a tub/shower ? If so you say you have hot water in the tub spout but not in the shower head? Then it is definitely the shower head, remove it and clean it again.

Sorry forgot the shower/tub valve.
Most I am familiar with require removing the spout to clear the shower line and you have to use air or water pressure introduced from the shower head end of the line.

Hmmmm? Maybe some air might do it. I used the water pressure we have which is about 40 max.
I was thinking it might be a seal/gasket in the shower diverter but not looking closely I admit I did not see a way to break it down to replace the seal.
No Canadian seal jokes please.

Work your way back. Remove shower head and see if you get hot water... if not it's probably the mixing valve.... if not you have something very big stuck in the supply lines.
This is problem solving 101... we aren't putting a man on the moon here.
Please do what Sledgehammer (nice nickname) suggests then get back. I have had similar problems, and it's always been a clog somewhere
Well it must be the mixing valve,so after shutting off water going to it do I just unscrew the plug or whatever its called on the mixer valve.
