Hello, I’m new here. I’m just outside Vancouver, Canada where we get a lot of rain. I am planning to enclose a single open carport underneath deck and am concerned about moisture problems. It is currently 6″ below grade with a slab at grade next to it. There are drains on both that work but slab is not quite level so water runs back and down into carport area during heavy rains. Entrance slopes up 1st 3-4′ so no problem at front. To prevent this water running in along back and side I was planning on adding another 6″ to the foundation wall that supports the deck. Is this a good plan ? and how do I ensure a watertight seal to existing concrete ?
